Fed: Badgerys Creek no longer an option Anderson
The Federal Cabinet has decided NOT to go ahead with a second airport at Badgerys Creek.
Federal Transport Minister JOHN ANDERSON says Sydney airport will now be put up for sale.
Cabinet has decided to stick with Sydney Airport, put a second airport in Sydney's
west on the backburner and ditch a last-minute option of an airport on Kurnell Pensinsula.
It's also decided to scrap the Canberra-Sydney Speedrail project in favour of investigating
a high-speed east coast airport.
