Fed: Govt disappointed at Pacific Brands job cuts
CANBERRA, Feb 25 AAP - The federal government tried three weeks ago to persuade clothing
maker Pacific Brands to find an alternative to sacking 1,850 of its workers, Industry
Minister Kim Carr says.
Senator Carr and Employment Minister Julia Gillard on Wednesday warned that Australians
should expect more similar bad news in the current economic conditions.
